mk1 golf cabriolet 16v project for sale swap read me
Vehicle Model : Golf mk1 cabriolet
Price : £900
Location : stoke one trent
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook)

This is gonna kill me but my impending divorce and worsening financial situation (and the fact i will soon have no where to keep it) means i have to sell the scabby cabby

Its a 1986 mk1 Golf Cabriolet. Started life as a 1.6 carbed auto. But then i decided to tweek it a little bit. It is being sold as a nearly complete project, so all bits to finish are there. Paint and finish for a great road car...or race the bloody thing 
Well, here goes...this is what you get
Mk1 Golf Cabriolet. 1.8 16v engine and 5 speed manual box installed (linkage needs attaching but comes supplied). New clutch cables and all gromits and fixings supplied. New steering universal joint and rubber cover. 100mm driveshafts fitted with new bearings in hubs.
4 into 1 branch manifold, and stainless rear box (supplied)
Brakes converted to Vauxhall Calibra turbo front callipers and corrado 280mm drilled and grooved discs. Rears are standard drums in good condition. 16 v servo and master cylinder installed.
FI system junked in favour of twin dellorto 40’s and 16v carb manifold. Bog brothers water outlet pipe, full new water hose set. Sports Electric Fuel pump and inline filter.
New fuel inlet pipe (fitted), new aluminium fuel filler, Angel Eye headlights, crystal indicators with side light option.
16” Porsche Design 90 wheels fully refurbed and new rubber never seen road. Metal centre caps with spare plastic ones and all wheel bolts including lock nut set. FK wheel adaptors machined to allow excellent tuck for the front 6” wide and rear 8” wide D90’s.
Full coilover set installed so can be slammed (fitted) and new front top shock mounts
Rear arch welded in to passenger side. Body is solid, with a few dinks and scabs here and there. Easy fixes or drive as is. Replacement front wing on, and custom bonnet.
Full set of black and chrome trim supplied, badgeless grille, both bumpers. Blah blah.
Electric windows fitted, with centre switches. Some ICE like speakers and amps to go with it too.
Roof in great condition, no rips or tears, comes with tonneau cover in blue. Will need new side cables but these are supplied 
Loads of other bits, you can even have the original engine and box if you like. All additional fixings supplied. Interior removed for race look, but can supply some more. Leather sports steering wheel included.
I also have the hydraulic rams to help turn it from a manual roof to a power roof 
And the price, you do the maths to get all this, you could break and sell for more

But am looking for £900 ovno. You will need a trailer to collect. Car is curremtly sorned and in my name with a big folder of history. I think this is a fair price

WOULD CONSIDER PART EX PLUS CASH MY WAY FOR A CHEAP MOTD RUNABOUT

Price negotionable without the wheels but you will need to supply some that will clear the larger callipers so would need to be 15” or bigger. Anything else you wanna know ask me

Also comes with full one key lock and ignition set and handles

Full build up thread here Toad's MK1 Golf - VZi, the UK's largest VW forum, community and sales

i would like to keep the rims ideally to run on another dub

and am really looking to swap atm cos i need a car asap for my new job

what you got?????
