bit of a delay on fitting the engine - pulled it from the buus to find oil over the tinware
thought it was an oilcooler seal on the cooler in the fanshroud so i stripped it all out and found nothing!
i did find a dryed up seal on the dizzy tho so i hope that was it coz i cant see anything else!
trimmed the tinware on the cylinders and re folded the lip as they were a bit too tight in the buss
now 28" wide IIRC! across the engine

anyway
test fit

but got a problem with the carbs !
the linkage mount iss touching the body!

i guess ill have to fit the 40 dels
need to fabricate a linkage for them tho!

Good work Jinx, am waiting for the next installment with baited breath. I'm loving the home brewed dtm style cooling fella. Just shows you don't have to spend mega bucks with Jake Raby to complete an upright cooling conversion. Be very interested to see results of cooling performance when its all done.

got the std carbs to fit in the end!
had to clearance the body due to a few past repairs!
shorten the cross linkage and modify the brackets!
also re made the oil dipstick adaptor to make it shorter so i could reach the oil!
not pretty but they all seem to work!

finally got it running today
fuel starvation, low battery, lifting dizzy/ incorrect ht lead position (due to having to rotate the dizzy 75 deg to allow it to fit in and clear everything)

got a problem with the acc cable now!
but it runs and moves - just waiting for another nut for the tank outlet so i can get it out for a run!

grabbing some winter sun!

cant get the seat back enough to fit me in either!
