Sweet mate, loving the old school stance too. Reminds me of Garricks old bug in that pic.

Happy New Year! looks a lovely bug! looked hard work? I'm chickening out of doing the wheel bearing on my beetle, I'm hoping I've bought the right bits and the garage is fixing it tomorrow....fingers crossed I'll bring it on Wed.

yea
filled the tank the other day
managed to put 140 miles driving to the shops and to the clu meet and other general fun drive like a loon
topped the tank up today with 23.74lt
make 26mpg?

if anyone is interested
on a 25min, 20 mile journey on a roads/bypass
the head temps are well below 350f
oil temp is struggling to reach 160
oil pressure start up 60psi
then when warm
25psi low idle 45 high idle

doing 4000rpm/60mph most of the time as its on a 1300 box! (195/60/15s rear 125/15s up front so the spedo is out too!)

hope to do a run to stanford hall! so that should realy see how it copes (and how i cope - no radio and a loud exhaust! & a 2 hour run to get there!)
