right thats it all welded in just got to clean it up now on this side , the other side is just the lip part of the wheel arch and not the corner . this as took a fair bit longer than i thought as i had to replace the inner arch as well .
and it all looks pretty straight so fingers crossed i haven't put too much heat into it and warped the panel

had a day off from the welding (must of been the flash i had yesterday) so i have had a few hours sanding down the black paint from the front panel and gave it a few coats of primer. will hopefully stop the dreaded rust for a few years

Nice little milestone, well done.

Cut kid too, if she's walking she's old enough to learn how to weld - get her out there working!

well this morning i finished putting it all back together ,only temporarily so i can try it for a mot ,then strip her back down and start sanding to get it ready for some paint.
it was a case of try it up the road and hope for the best ........

all running fine and a smile to boot so it must be ok.
at least nothing fell off and it runs smooth , just ugly at the moment with patches of primer everywhere
