1958 VW ribbed bumper split screen panel van. It was imported by me from LA in 2005, since then it has been modified with the following parts:-
Front has had a new narrowed front beam (narrowed 83mm) with adjusters for height alteration
New 3.5 inch dropped spindles from Boatyard Buses
New CSP Porsche pattern front disks, with dual circuit master cylinder
Spax fully adjustable shocks,
Rear of van has had a straight axle coversion using a Beetle gearbox
Gearbox has had new urathane mounts and new oil with new gaitors
Rear brakes are also porsche pattern disks
Spax adjustable shocks on the rear,
Alloys are Porsche pattern repro gas burners with good tyres all round, even comes with 5th alloy for spare
Engine is a strong runner which has not long been serviced with new leads,plugs etc
The front cab interior has had a new carpet set, has two retro bucket seats, cab divider, newish door cards with some infinty 6x9s speakers,
The rear of the van has some insulation on the walls but is bare (could easily convert it to a camper) currently has bed settee which will go with van if winning bidder wishes, rear window has third brake light and jail bars, the van has newish rear light, front lights and wing mirrors, comes with lots of spares, including new rubbers.
This is no show winning van but will get you noticed more than once, looks hard as nails and turns heads everywhere, it isn't perfect but remember it is 50 years old,
Van is MOTed , has not been registered yet so winning bidder would be the first name on the new log book, this costs around £40,
