Is this a genuine 1967 1500 bug or a 1968 bug??

If it's a 1500 '67 then I'm interested if it's stock.

Got pics, but bit confused? Custom flame paint job, aftermarket wheels, aftermarket rubbers, aftermarket steering wheel, upright headlights, euro bumpers etc etc

You may have sent the wrong pics, but looks like a custom early 1968 model beetle, not a stock '67 one????????

it is a 67 it is on the log book it has the original steering wheel now on, it has a custom paint job

It's a 1968 Model though
1967 models are a complete different kettle of fish.
One year only decklids, 1 year only door handles, sloping headlights, blade bumpers etc and the 1500 model had 4 stud wheels and discs on the front whereas the 1300 still had wide 5 stud and drums all round.

type in 1967 volkswagen beatle in google ( images ) and you will see for yourself plus gromits is a 67 to. plus when i get parts it comes up a 67. so sorry its a 67 NOT 68

Trust me, a 1500 '67 is VERY different!

Whilst yours was registered in 1967, it's model year (which is the important bit!) is 1968! These were available in the UK from August 1st 1967.

The 1967 beetle had loads of one year only parts, and was available from mid 1966. Some very early ones were registered on D plates although the majority are on E plates, and there's also a good number registered on F plates, as dealers were already selling the newer shaped 1968 model by then. There are also a couple of known 1967 beetles registered on a G plate as these remained unsold in the dealerships whilst people bought the newer 'facelift' models.

whilst it's very nice and looks a good honest car, there's no way I'd ever call that a 'stock' '67 1500 bug!

However, I'm sure it will sell easily enough if it's as solid as it looks
